BRIDGES Charter School and the PAC want to bring you the most up-to-date information about our BIGGEST fundraiser of the year! We'll all be working very hard to raise over $25,000 to help maintain our field trip programs and buses as well as pay for much needed classroom materials (all classroom materials come from PAC funds this year) including technology.

This fundraiser is an opportunity to come together and not only provide an amazing day for our students but also help BRIDGES cover the high costs of running a school. Please read about the numerous ways you can be a part of this amazing effort as a volunteer or a donor. Let's give our kids an amazing day to remember!

Garden News…
Miracles are happening in the garden. 🙂

Bridges students in Core Middle School and Elementary grades have been working on keeping the campus clean and building gardens. At the beginning of each garden group we have been picking up trash and collecting compost. The kids then go to the garden and work on our various garden projects. Planting fruit trees, grasses, starter plants and seeds. We also have begun planting our pumpkin patch. We are making pumpkin lasagna gardens. A fun way to learn how composting works and build healthy soil for healthy gardens.

Disc Golf (or Frisbee golf) is a growing sport. Played like regular ball golf, the goal is to throw specialized frisbees discs into a metal basket. Thousand Oaks was a part of the original disc golf movement in the 1960s and Oak Grove in Pasadena is home to the oldest modern course. Conejo Valley has 6 courses (Thousand Oaks, Oak Park, Simi Valley) with more to come. Cheap and easy to play, disc golf is the perfect way to spend a day hiking with the family. Sign your child up today and introduce them to this wonderful sport. Kids love how easy it is to start and in no time, they will be banging chains!
